About Our Care Team

Belonging to a caring church makes Care Team leadership a rewarding job. Caring starts in our small groups, but for long term sickness, the bereaved, the elderly and other ongoing needs, others step in.
My role is to try to ensure that all who attend Old Roan Baptist Church feel they are an important part of our Christian family. This involves phone calls, sending cards (and news letters if people are away on a Sunday), providing transport, visiting both at home and in hospital and providing the occasional meal. These activities are spontaneously undertaken not only by the Care Team but also by other Church friends who see a need they can fulfil.
When necessary we draw up rotas to give lifts for hospital visits/appointments or long term visiting/help.
I like to take every opportunity to thank everybody in our Church family and especially the Care Team for EVERY kindness they so willingly give.
